Operational logistics for the new building of the Graubünden University of Applied Sciences Centre, Chur

The Uni­ver­si­ty of Applied Sci­ences of the Grisons (FHGR) is expe­ri­enc­ing steady growth. How­ev­er, the dis­tri­b­u­tion across sev­er­al loca­tions is impair­ing effi­cien­cy. A new build­ing at the Pul­ver­müh­le site in Chur is cre­at­ing the infra­struc­ture for cen­tralised uni­ver­si­ty oper­a­tions — and SOLTIC is pro­vid­ing sup­port as an expert in intral­o­gis­tics process­es.

We are design­ing the new uni­ver­si­ty of applied sci­ences cen­tre: 

• the design of the cen­tralised deliv­ery tak­ing into account the spa­tial con­di­tions
• the dimen­sion­ing of the ramp area
• the lay­out of stor­age and dis­pos­al rooms
• the dis­pos­al of mate­ri­als
• and last but not least the con­nec­tion to an exist­ing build­ing 

About the new construction of the Graubünden University of Applied Sciences Centre, Chur 

With the new build­ing, FHGR is cre­at­ing a mod­ern and sus­tain­able edu­ca­tion­al, research and work cen­tre in the can­ton of Graubün­den. Giu­liani Hönger Architek­ten have designed a tim­ber-con­crete com­pos­ite con­struc­tion for the load-bear­ing struc­ture. The sus­tain­abil­i­ty of the build­ing is empha­sised by the build­ing enve­lope, which is made entire­ly of wood, and the pho­to­volta­ic roofs and façades. SOLTIC is sup­port­ing the Parte­naris gen­er­al plan­ning team with the intral­o­gis­tics plan­ning.
