Operational logistics for the new building of the Graubünden University of Applied Sciences Centre, Chur

The University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR) is experiencing steady growth. However, the distribution across several locations is impairing efficiency. A new building at the Pulvermühle site in Chur is creating the infrastructure for centralised university operations — and SOLTIC is providing support as an expert in intralogistics processes.
We are designing the new university of applied sciences centre:
- the design of the centralised delivery taking into account the spatial conditions
- the dimensioning of the ramp area
- the layout of storage and disposal rooms
- the disposal of materials
- and last but not least the connection to an existing building
About the new construction of the Graubünden University of Applied Sciences Centre, Chur
With the new building, FHGR is creating a modern and sustainable educational, research and work centre in the canton of Graubünden. Giuliani Hönger Architekten have designed a timber-concrete composite construction for the load-bearing structure. The sustainability of the building is emphasised by the building envelope, which is made entirely of wood, and the photovoltaic roofs and façades. SOLTIC is supporting the Partenaris general planning team with the intralogistics planning.
