New research and training centre for medicine on the “construction area 07” of the island site

SOLTIC is respon­si­ble for the logis­tics sup­ply and dis­pos­al con­cept for the new build­ing for the Uni­ver­si­ty of Bern. This includes the flow of goods for the lab­o­ra­to­ries, ani­mal hus­bandry and stor­age of haz­ardous mate­ri­als as well as the stor­age of body dona­tions. SOLTIC is sup­port­ing the project from the out­set as a logis­tics expert on behalf of the client, the Office for Land and Build­ings (AGG) and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Bern, Depart­ment of Con­struc­tion and Space.

About the Insel-Campus Bern

The for­mer school build­ing, the gym­na­si­um and a pavil­ion on the Insel cam­pus in Bern have been demol­ished. In future, the insti­tutes of the Fac­ul­ty of Med­i­cine will be con­cen­trat­ed on the site, which will help to strength­en Bern as a med­ical cen­tre. The project will run until 2030.
