Expansion of a goods handling centre at Pistor

Pis­tor AG is a Swiss whole­sale com­pa­ny for bak­ery, cater­ing, home and hos­pi­tal sup­plies with a com­pre­hen­sive range of food and non-food prod­ucts. The West Goods Han­dling Cen­tre (“WUZ West”) was expand­ed at the head­quar­ters in Rothen­burg. From this loca­tion, Pis­tor sup­plies numer­ous bak­eries and con­fec­tion­ers as well as cater­ing and health­care busi­ness­es. 

The exten­sion to the WUZ West goods han­dling cen­tre will increase capac­i­ty for dif­fer­ent types of con­tain­ers and opti­mise sys­tem per­for­mance through process automa­tion in a pal­let and small parts high-bay ware­house. SOLTIC was allowed to realise the project as Gen­er­al plan­ner and took on the over­all coor­di­na­tion. The plan­ning team suc­cess­ful­ly com­plet­ed the project and hand­ed it over to Pis­tor in spring 2024.

Sustainable growth 

Pis­tor AG is grow­ing con­tin­u­ous­ly and is posi­tion­ing itself for the future. The WUZ West offers space for 22,000 pal­lets in the auto­mat­ed high-bay ware­house. The head build­ing has stag­ing and logis­tics areas. Sus­tain­abil­i­ty is the focus of the entire oper­a­tion.
