OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
We see it every day in our projects: performance, motivation and the quality of work results depend on how the people doing the work are doing. Health in the workplace is not just a question of ergonomic chairs or fruit baskets. It starts much earlier: with attitude, culture and the courage to see health as part of work.
Performance needs regeneration
Work sometimes feels like a well-timed conveyor belt process: efficient, driven, with clear goals. That’s good — as long as the system remains sustainable. But if the workload is permanently higher than recovery, if complexity increases without support, then speed turns into pressure. And pressure turns into errors and failures — because people are not machines. At SOLTIC, we think about how we can effectively break this spiral.
What occupational health means for SOLTIC
- We take mental health seriously — and not just when someone is absent. But when stress becomes noticeable. Mental strength does not come from “putting up with more”, but from good framework conditions.
- We value realistic planning and clear priorities. If everything is important, it’s always too much. Health needs focus, not a constant alarm.
- We see leadership as a health factor. Leadership also means asking questions, listening and creating safe spaces. This means recognising as early as possible what people need instead of simply solving problems.
- Our culture allows breaks, because rest is not a luxury. It is part of the performance chain.
- Of course, our workstations are ergonomically designed because they should support the body, not strain it.
Mindfulness creates the basis for recognising stress in good time. Resilience helps to deal with them in a healthy way. Both arise where openness, mutual respect and genuine regeneration have a place in everyday working life.
We want everyone to stay healthy!
Our colleague Michael Klaus takes on this important topic at SOLTIC. Together with the team, he has put together a catalogue of activities that really does have something for everyone: from sport to culinary delights and culture.
